Durability of US-341 Chilli

MEDIUM. Though this chilli is a perfect combination of high heat, best color and limited aflatoxins, it is suggested that the US 341 chilli be used within 9 to 10 months for best results.

Pungency: High Heat in the range of 35,000 to 45,000 SHU.
Color: ASTA value between 80-110.
Capsaicin content (in %): 0.30-0.45 max.

This is the original cayenne pepper. Bulky in appearance. Length: 6-11 cm without stem, Breadth: 1.1-1.9 cm. Thick Skin. High Seed Content. There isn't much wrinkle even when it's fully dried.

Alternate Varieties: As you can see above, the limit variations for color, pungency & appearance mentioned is high; this is due to the fact that there are two variations in Sannam S4/S334. The Andhra region's variety does look fabulous but is highly suseptible to fungus (aflatoxins), is in the lower range of pungency and is in the higher range of color mentioned above. The other variety that is mostly grown in Telangana's region has thin skin, high pungency and low color value. Both varieties are exceptional when it comes to durability of the product.
